Visas for Brazilians- IPEN community that needs to obtain a visa to travel should seek the consulate of the country of their interest and request the visa.
Visas for Foreigners - foreigners who will be mobile at IPEN should seek the Brazilian consulate in their country of origin to obtain the visa.
Passport - IPEN community that needs to obtain the passport should seek the Federal Police (FBI). Information athttp://www.pf.gov.br/servicos-pf/passaporte/requerer-passaporte/requerer-passport.
National Foreign Resident Registration - Registro Nacional de Estrangeiros (RNE) – Mobile foreigners at IPEN should go to the Federal Police unit closest to where they are settled, with documents, within 30 (thirty) calendar days of entering the country. Important: Foreigners, from Portuguese-speaking countries, are exempted from paying the registration fee at the Federal Police, as well as their extension, and should collect the fee for the issuance of the foreigner's identity card, in accordance with the attached decree. It is necessary to verify the validity of this decree periodically.
Attention: In case of exchange or renewal of the RNE, foreigners should take a copy of the document and hand it to IPEN Teaching Department.
